Usage:	Syphilis is a chronic systemic infection caused by Treponema pallidum. It is sexually transmitted and is characterized by episodes of active disease followed by periods of latency. It is a significant health problem globally. It manifests as Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Syphilis. However, it can show positive serology with absence of clinical manifestations leading to Latent Syphilis. Infected pregnant woman can transmit the infection to the fetus resulting in Congenital Syphilis. This assay is a confirmatory panel for Syphilis.
